Isosceles bio from HipHop.ca

This bio was originally on the hiphop.ca website, which has been down for years. I found this in a google search on rhymestate.com. If copying this biography infringes on anyone's rights, let me know and I will promptly take it down. I'm just worried that if no one saves it, it will be lost forever.

The Isosceles, a Canadian hip hop trio, is made up of twin brothers Shrmpy and Sasafras, as well as the telepathic triplet known as Boya D. The crew began its odyssey after Shrmpy and Sasafras recorded an EP with the Dream Warriors in May of 1995, under the name Mirror Image. This EP, a self-titled release, was engineered and recorded at the Beat Factory Studio (in downtown Toronto). It was sent to several major record labels, at their request, to be reviewed for discussion of record contracts. The labels were hesitant to sign them because they wanted to hear more material, but Pallas Records purchased the rights to Pet Peaves, a track produced by DJ Luv, which was featured on a Japanese compilation. Later that year, they flew home to Saskatoon, where they heard an underground tape of independent Vancouver hip hop artists. One of those artists was a solo musician who went by the name of Boya D. After hearing this tape, Shrmpy and Sasafras were destined to discover Boya's whereabouts in the greater Vancouver area; a week later they left Saskatoon and headed out west.

In the summer of 1997, the newly founded Isosceles crew recorded a self-titled EP which was circulated all across Canada, giving them a buzz on radio stations, in and around the cities where they've performed. Unfortunately, two years went by before they decided to really make things happen because of the long distance between Vancouver and Saskatoon. In early April of '98, Boya left his humble abode in Vancouver and relocated to the prairies where their latest release, Face the Music was recorded. Their original beats, thought-provoking lyrics, and ill turntablism fuse and combine to relate with the listener first-hand, forming a fresh approach to rap music which is interactively intelligent, cool and conscious. Face the Music has and continues to earn them remarkable underground recognition in Canada, Australia, the U.S. and beyond. The Isosceles have toured western Canada and California, and have broken the ice as the opening act for world-renown hip hop artists such as Xzibit, Defari, Del The Funkee Homosapien & Casual, The Herbaliser (UK), and various unsigned artists from all over the atlas. In the past two years they have colloborated with several artists including DJ Vin Roc, Orko The Sykotik Alien, Moka Only, and others. Be sure to purchase the Rulez of Thumb EP, recorded at the Furnace and released on Thick'n'Thin Records during the summer solstice of '99. The EP features the Isosceles and Orko the Sykotik Alien representing the Global Phlowtations crew from San Diego, California

The Isosceles belong to a large family of western Canada's finest experimental hip hop musicians, known as the Conscious Pilots. This collective crew is making noise and will release a compilation sometime in the near future, featuring tracks from various members of the Conscious Pilots foundation.
