I'd like to think there is a lot of subtlety to this photograph.

Details include:
- his cross
- he has an earring
- clip on sunglasses
- one very white hat
- the bench is in memory of a beloved son and brother
- the two shadows are not of the photographer but of other people out for a stroll
- he's reading an article entitled 'Tanya Tucker returns to center stage' in the music section of what looks like the Globe & Mail

Although this was shot in a very public place, to me it still feels like an invasion of privacy because the subject is showing so much of himself.

Out in English Bay one fine evening.
